Pigeon Island ^{2019/ Installation}

Pigeons are a present part of the city center: due to the circumstances they live in people think they are dirty and useless. What can we do to change the image of the urban pigeon?

Pigeon island offers a stage for pigeons and for people to look at them: it offers situations for pigeons to display themselves and for people to recognise the diversity in how they can look and behave. Based on material research we propose a series of pigeon islands that can be placed around the city. Creating capsulated habitats dedicated to pigeons that are interesting for people to look at: sparking interest and conversation.
